AmazingVox School Residencies
Through AmazingVox Residencies, the International Opera Singers, Annalisa Winberg & Roy Stevens, have touched the lives of tens of thousands of children, young adults and adults, while performing their unique interdisciplinary school residencies in hundreds of schools; K-12, college, adult-ed and professional singer training programs.
Utilizing their international level performance skills and the amazing power of the human (operatic) voice, Annalisa & Roy engage, educate and entertain with their interdisciplinary assemblies, follow-up classes, interactive workshops and "Performance Projects."
Annalisa & Roy plant seeds of educational fascination about the world, international culture, literature (and literacy), foreign language, world geography, social studies, and the visual & performing arts. They also introduce the unique art from of opera in manner that is accessible, understandable and relevant to lives of Americans today, children and adults.
Through their ability to engage the imagination, Annalisa & Roy actively break past the barriers of many "at-risk" children, providing postive role models and allowing young people to dream, to begin the process of creating more positive outcomes for themselves. AmazingVox has visited, with much success, many Juvenile Hall Schools, Continuation and Alternative High Schools, Community Day Schools, as well as children in other instutionalized settings.
